Ice Cream night Teen Blitz!

Friday night at 5:30 we will be meeting at the church for our Ice Cream Blitz!

Make sure to bring $3-5 for our " Topping Shopping Trip" 

You can purchase any type of candy, cookie or ice cream topping sauce! 

After our quick shopping trip we will be going back to the church to make some grand ice cream sundaes! 

And after the ice cream we will be doing another fun activity! 

We will be creating the "Armor of God" out of cardboard, tin foil and duct tape! 

I wonder which team will win?? 

See you all there!

Girl's Shopping Trip!

The Teen Girl's Shopping trip will be this Saturday! 

We will be meeting at the church at 10 o'clock AM for our trip! 

We will be going to Saver's. 

You will need at least $25 for Saver's and some money for lunch. 

We will probably go to McDonalds or Arby's for lunch, or someplace similar.

I hope you are excited!! 

The purpose of this shopping trip is to find cute and stylish modest clothing, 

Modest clothing can be a challenge to find now-a-days, let alone anything pretty or cute. 

But don't lose heart! It can be done!! 

 God honoring Modesty is

one of the most beautiful and self-respecting things you can do. 

Your body is a treasure from God, and to put care into protecting this treasure is one of the highest callings for a Christian young woman.

Points for Devotions

 

Hey Teens!! 

Today I am going to tell you all about the points for Devotions!!

-Devotion Points-

1 week's worth of Devotions equals 500 points  
Since we are starting out with the point system, I will require a minimum of 5 days worth of devotions each week for the 500 points.
Anything less earns no points.

The 5 day minimum may change in the future, but for now we want to encourage you all to try to do at least 5 days each week for your devotions.

I still encourage you to try to read your devotions every day of the week!!


Don't know where to read in your Bible? 
Try the book of Proverbs, or Psalms, or the book of John. My personal favorite is 1 Peter!

How much should I read?
I really encourage you to read at least one chapter a day. If you want to read more go for it!!

How can I get the most out of my daily devotions?
Start out your daily devotions with prayer, ask God to show you something special in His Word! 
While you are reading keep an eye out for any verse that is special to you, mark that verse with a pen.
After your devotions, pray about anything the Lord spoke to you about while you were reading. This is a great time to also pray and praise! If you have a burden for someone or some problem, remember to pray about it! You should also pray for the Lord's protection and guidance throughout the day.

Teen Blitz! Movie Night!!

Teen Blitz will be this Friday night at 6:00pm! 

We will be meeting at the church for this Blitz.

We are planning to watch a movie!

Trevor's 17th birthday!

We combined a Teen Blitz with a Birthday party for Trevor's 17th b-day, and we had a blast! 

We went to a local roller skating rink to celebrate!

After a few hours of skating, (and some bumps and bruises) we headed back to Trevor's home for supper and some yummy ice cream cake!

Sermon Notes Points

 

Alright guys and girls, here is the new point system update! 

Sermon Notes Points 

"Sermon notes"  are worth 100 points per service. You can earn up to 400 points in one week. How you ask?

Each week you will have 4 opportunities to earn points for sermon notes, 

including Sunday School. This means Sunday School, Sunday Morning service, Sunday Evening service and the Wednesday service.

There is however something you should know about your "Sermon Notes".

To earn points I will require at least 3 main points from the sermon and one scripture reference. 

 ***********************************************************

For example: 

John 3:16  (the scripture reference)

(three main points)

1)  God loves the world very much

2) His love for the world is so great that He sent His Son     

3) His Son came to give us everlasting life

 **************************************************

So remember, 100 points per "Sermon Notes" 

I will see you Wednesday! 

Don't forget to bring pens and paper!!
